Are Bears color blind, what are your thoughts on camo when hunting bears? Do you wear any orange at all?

I wear orange when required.  I dont know if they see every color but they do see some colors.

I have heard they have poor vision also but I dont know if that is true.  I think breaking up your outline and avoiding movement is very important with all animals.

Bears are color blind they run awayjust as fast from white guys, as they do from asians, blacks, mexicans etc.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

That is awesome!!!!

I will say that i believe bears are pretty much blind!!! They catch movement pretty good but as for colors I don't believe it matters!!!
All I know is if you want to be taken seriously by other hunters you will go out and get yourself some Team Real Team camo......Cause if you aren't spending the big bucks on your camo.....you must not know what you are doing!!! It is a fashion show!!!!

If i remeber right- they see violets pretty well.  They can see blue and purple better than other colors.  Orange should be ok..it's probably a good idea to have some on.
